Marley and Me author is back

John Grogan, the Philadelphia columnist turned best-selling author, is publishing two books this fall and is being played by Owen Wilson in a movie adaptation of Marley and Me.
The Longest Trip Home, out in October, is the memoir he knew he had to write even as he was writing Marley and Me about growing up in an old-school Catholic family and, later, his courtship of Jenny.
But before that is the September release of children’s book A Very Marley Christmas (visions of chewed up Christmas tree ornaments dance in our head).
And just in time for Christmas, the film Marley and Me starring Wilson and Jennifer Aniston.
