Rowling won her suit to stop publication of the Harry Potter Lexicon, which was being touted as an extensive encyclopedic tome about all things Harry Potter.The author, Steve Vander Ark, apparently is a big fan of Potter and author Rowling, maintained a similar Web site. From what I remember she was OK with that, but when he set out to publish a book, she objected.

A judge today, seemingly reluctlantly agreed to block publication of the book.

I bet bootleg copies of it will turn up somewhere and fetch a pretty penny.

Thought we’d get rid of Harry Potter just because J K Rowling said so? Guess again.

To raise funds for the Children’s High Level Group, a charitable group to help children in institutions, Rowling is publishing “The Tales of Beedle the Bard: A Wizarding Classic from the World of Harry Potter” in December.

Net proceeds, expected to be near $8 million, go the the charity.
